Update: Hurricane Helene Damage
Thank you for your prayers for His High Places during the flooding caused by tropical storm Helene. We are thankful to report that although the water came within 30 feet of the house, it did not reach the building! There was however significant damage to the property. The flood waters eroded approximately .25 acres of land and took out our walking trail, the campsites, four bench pads with outdoor furniture, and the cross. The most pressing issue is repair to the riverbank and yard. Currently is it unsafe to be near the edge of the property because of the instability of the land and the potential for additional erosion. The drop off from the edge of the yard to the river is 10-12 feet. If you are interested in donating to help with this project, please click on the “Flood Recovery Fund” button.
